The .ma is a national extension, whose registry is run by ANRT: it signals local roots from the outset, and registering it requires a document from the registrant. The .com is an international extension, recognized everywhere, with no local signal and no supporting document to provide to the registry. For a business aimed at a local audience, the .ma is the natural choice; for a wider reach, the .com. Many projects register both — the .ma for the website, the .com as a redirect —, which also keeps the name out of a third party's hands.

Yes, and you stay in control from start to finish. Search for the domain on our site: if it is already registered elsewhere, a “Transfer to us” button appears. Paste the authorization code (EPP/authcode) provided by your current registrar — after unlocking the domain —, add it to your cart, then pay: we initiate the transfer with the registry. You can also start the transfer while ordering a hosting plan or a VPS: at the “I have a domain” step, the “Transfer my domain from another provider” option takes you to the same flow. The transfer usually extends the domain by one year. Our team stays by your side to support you.

An incoming transfer you have initiated appears in your client area, under “Domain names”, with its status until it is validated by the registry. Conversely, to transfer a domain from us to another provider, open its details page in the client area: the “EPP code” tab gives you the authorization code, and you can lift the transfer lock there. Support is available to assist you if needed.

The registry refuses a transfer when the authorization code (EPP/authcode) is wrong or expired, or when the domain is still locked at your current registrar. First ask them to lift that lock and to give you a new code. Then open the order concerned in your client area, under “My orders”: a panel lets you enter the new code there, and the transfer restarts right away, with no new payment — you are notified of the result. If the refusal persists, write to us at [email protected].

.ma domains are registered for a minimum of 1 year, renewable before expiration. We send you reminders before the deadline.

You receive reminders before expiration. Renewal is done from your client area at the current rate (e.g. 118 DH/year for a .ma, 123 DH/year for a .com). After expiration, a grace period generally lets you recover the domain.

Yes, DNS management is free and included. Enable managed DNS from the DNS tab of your domain: we host your zone and automatically delegate your name servers, then you create your A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT (SPF/DKIM) and other records in one click from your client area.

Yes, you can register a domain on its own and point it to any host. You can add hosting with us at any time.

Yes: the domain alone is a complete order, and its DNS management is included at no extra cost. Once the domain is active, turn on managed DNS on its page, then create the A record and the www CNAME your platform gives you; they do not take effect instantly. In one click: from the DNS tab of your domain (“Attach to a VPS”) or from your VPS console (“Attached domains”), choose the server — we automatically create the A record pointing to its IP address. Yes, on the extensions that allow it: the “WHOIS Privacy” option replaces your registrant contact details with substitute details in the public WHOIS/RDAP directory. You can tick it when searching for a domain, for a new registration, and its yearly price is shown next to the checkbox. It cannot be added to an incoming transfer. It does not exist for .ma domains or their sub-extensions: the national registry (ANRT) makes no provision for WHOIS privacy.

The registrant contact (Whois) identifies the owner of a domain name — name, email, phone and address — and applies to all extensions. The easiest way: create a reusable record, just once, from “My contacts” in your client area; you can then reuse it on any domain (allowing you to register a domain on behalf of a third party). If you already have a record, you can associate it at the time of ordering; otherwise, no entry is required to finalize your first purchase — a reminder invites you to complete the registrant details right afterward, from the domain's details page. For a .ma domain, ANRT additionally requires a copy of the registrant's document (national ID card, passport or residence permit for an individual; ICE certificate or RC extract, with the legal representative's national ID card, for a company): you upload it after ordering, from the domain's details page, without it blocking your purchase.

For .ma domains, the registry (ANRT) now requires a copy of the registrant's supporting document — no longer just its number: national ID card, passport or residence permit for an individual; ICE certificate or RC extract, always accompanied by the legal representative's national ID card, for a business. Upload it from your client area, on the affected domain's page. Mind the order: the domain must first have a registrant contact linked (the “Registrant to complete” banner); once that contact is filled in, the “Registrant supporting document” section and its upload area appear right below. Accepted formats are PDF, JPG or PNG, 5 MB max per file, 2 files maximum so you can attach both sides of an ID card. Our team verifies it before forwarding it to the registry. Without this document, ANRT may block and then delete your .ma domain — it does not block your order, but complete it as soon as possible. You can also reply to the reminder email with the document attached: your reply reaches our support team. If ANRT lists your domain in one of its notices, it allows one week from that notice: we email you the same day with the exact date.

No: a domain name is registered immediately with the registry (ANRT for .ma). Since the service is performed without delay, the domain is neither taken back nor refunded (General Terms of Sale, art. 7).

Transferring a ‎.ma domain follows specific rules set by the national registry (ANRT): your domain must have been active for at least 60 days, its transfer lock must be removed, and you must provide the EPP authorization code from your current registrar. Yes. ServOrbit registers .ma domains for companies and individuals regardless of their country of residence. One condition applies, however: under ANRT rules (decision no. 02/2024, art. 27), a registrant domiciled outside Morocco must appoint an administrative contact, an individual established in Morocco with a valid postal address and e-mail address. Morocco's national extension is .ma. Its registry is run by ANRT, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency, which accredits the providers authorized to register names in it on behalf of third parties. The registry also opens six second-level extensions: .co.ma, .net.ma and .org.ma are registered directly, while .ac.ma, .press.ma and .gov.ma are reserved for certain categories of registrants and go through a prior review by ANRT. Names written in Arabic characters, for their part, fall under a different national extension.

For registration in the name of a company, the ANRT requires an ICE certificate (or, failing that, a commercial register extract), always accompanied by the legal representative's national ID card. Depending on the chosen extension (.ma, .co.ma, .net.ma…), additional documents may be needed. These documents do not block your purchase: you upload them after ordering, from the domain's page in your client area, and our team checks them before forwarding them to the ANRT.

Yes, the ANRT charter allows letters (a-z), digits (0-9) and hyphens — except at the start or end of the name, and no two consecutive hyphens. The length must be between 2 and 63 characters. Case is not taken into account (mon-domaine.ma = MON-DOMAINE.ma).

ANRT requires any company to provide proof of registration — an ICE certificate or, failing that, a trade register extract — and the legal representative's national ID card; if the contact person is not the legal representative, their ID card is also required. These documents are uploaded after your order, from the domain's page in your client area, without blocking your purchase; our team checks them before submitting them to ANRT. If the file is incomplete, we will contact you for correction before any rejection.

From your client area, open the relevant domain page and go to the 'Nameservers' tab. Replace the current servers with those of your choice and confirm. The change usually propagates within a few hours, at most 24 hours. If you want to delegate DNS management to ServOrbit, enter our nameservers shown in that tab and activate managed DNS: the zone is then configured directly from your client area.

Yes. Simply update the nameservers of your domain at your current registrar to the ServOrbit ones, or create a DNS A record pointing to your hosting's IP address. The nameservers and IP to use are shown in your client area, on the details page of the relevant hosting service. DNS propagation typically takes from a few minutes to 24 hours depending on your registrar.

To transfer your domain name to ServOrbit, start by obtaining the EPP code (also known as the authorisation code or AuthInfo) from your current registrar. Make sure the domain is unlocked and that transfer protection is disabled. Then search for the domain on our site: if it is already registered elsewhere, the “Transfer to us” button appears; enter the EPP code, add the transfer to your cart, then pay for the order. The process typically takes between 5 and 7 business days, during which your domain remains active at your previous registrar.

Renew your .ma domain without delay from your ServOrbit client area to avoid any service interruption. .ma domains are governed by ANRT (Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télécommunications) in Morocco, and the renewal process may involve additional administrative lead times. An unrenewed .ma domain enters a limited grace period before being released and potentially registered by a third party. Acting 30 days in advance gives you enough time to resolve any issues without risking the loss of your domain name.

Registrar Lock is a protection enabled by default on your domain to prevent unauthorized transfers: it blocks incoming registrar-change requests. To transfer your domain to another registrar, disable the lock from the domain management section in your client area, then retrieve your transfer code (EPP/Auth-Info). The lock is automatically re-enabled once the transfer period ends or if the transfer is cancelled.

From your client area, go to the DNS management of your domain and create an A or CNAME record pointing to your hosting or VPS. For an HTTP redirect (301/302) rather than plain DNS resolution, enable URL redirection in cPanel or configure a rule in your web server. There is no automatic renewal: nothing is charged to your account credit or a saved payment method. Before the expiry date, you receive several e-mail reminders; the “Renew” button in your client area then creates an order, which you pay yourself. Without payment, the domain expires; once the grace period is over, it is deleted and becomes available again. The rate applied is 118 DH/year for a .ma domain, calculated tax exclusive (VAT excluded).

After a .ma domain expires, ANRT grants a grace period during which the holder can still renew without extra fees. Once that period ends, the domain enters redemption, then is released for deletion. It is strongly advised to act as soon as the domain expires: contact our support team via your client portal to check the exact status and available options.

Our free .ma WHOIS tool queries the ANRT registry directly (.ma, .co.ma, .net.ma…): it tells you whether the name is free or registered and, if it is taken, shows its creation, expiry and last-update dates, its nameservers, its statuses and, when known, the registrar that manages it. It does not, however, show the registrant's name or contact details: this is a privacy choice, not a technical limitation — these are personal data, governed by Moroccan Law 09-08, which we do not republish on an open page. DNSSEC adds a cryptographic signature to your DNS records, protecting your visitors against cache poisoning and redirect attacks. It cannot be enabled self-service from your client area: to request it, open a ticket from your client area or write to [email protected]. Support depends on the extension and its registry, particularly for .ma domains.

Yes. By adding an NS record in your DNS zone pointing to the name servers of your choice, you fully delegate the resolution of a subdomain (for example, `app.yourdomain.com`) to another provider or service. This can be done directly from your ServOrbit client area, in the DNS tab of your domain.

Yes, ServOrbit accepts .ma domain registration requests regardless of your country of residence. Article 27 of the ANRT specifications requires that applicants residing outside Morocco be informed of the local obligations applicable to the holder; this notice appears at checkout and in the general terms. No additional document is required solely because of foreign residence: the documents requested depend on the holder's nature (individual or company). See our guide on the Domain .ma page.

ANRT requires Moroccan non-profit associations registering a .ma domain to provide: a certified copy of the articles of association filing receipt issued by local authorities, the signed and dated association bylaws, and an identity document of the legal representative authorised to submit the application. The domain name must match the official name of the association as stated in the filed bylaws. ServOrbit handles the compilation and submission of the full dossier to ANRT; processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days once the complete file is received. If a naming dispute arises or a similar extension already exists, ANRT may request additional supporting documents.

Open the domain page in your client area and click “Activate managed DNS”: the zone is created, your existing records are copied into it and the nameservers are delegated automatically. Once managed DNS is activated, click “Add a record” on the domain page, choose the type, then enter the name (“@” for the domain itself) and the value. Deletion is immediate: double-check before confirming. Step by step: Add or edit a DNS record.

The proxy speeds up and protects a website, but it only applies to A, AAAA and CNAME records and must stay off for email, FTP or a CNAME pointing to an external platform. You set it by editing the record, with the “Cloudflare proxy (CDN + anti-DDoS)” box. Step by step: Turn the Cloudflare proxy on or off.

On the domain page, click “Edit” in “Nameservers (DNS)”, enter at least two distinct servers and save; propagation can take up to 24 hours. First make sure the destination zone contains your records, otherwise your website and email will stop working. Step by step: Change a domain's nameservers.

On the domain page, unlock it in “Transfer lock”, then click “Show my EPP code” and confirm with your password and the code received by email. If online display is not enabled, “Request my EPP code” sends a request to our team. Step by step: Transfer a domain to another registrar.

On the .ma domain page, first link a registrant contact with “Complete the registrant”, then upload the requested document and click “Upload the registrant document”. Yes, under one condition. ANRT does not require a .ma registrant to be established in Morocco, but a registrant domiciled outside Morocco must be represented by an administrative contact: an individual established in Morocco, with a valid postal address and e-mail address (ANRT decision no. 02/2024, art. 27). It is up to the company to appoint this contact; ServOrbit informs you of this obligation before registration but does not act in this role.

The domain can be bought on its own, without hosting, and is managed from your client area. First add it to your Vercel project (Settings → Domains) or Netlify site (Domain management): the platform shows the exact DNS records to create, usually an A record for the bare domain and a CNAME for www. Then create those records in your domain's DNS tab, copying the values the platform displays — they can differ from one project to another, so don't take them from a tutorial. Propagation takes from a few minutes to 24 hours; Vercel and Netlify then issue the HTTPS certificate themselves.

No, whether your domain is signed or not. A signed domain is linked to the root by a DS record published at the registry of its extension: it points to the key of your own zone and does not depend on the root key, so nothing needs to change, neither in your DNS zone nor in your client area. The change concerns resolvers that validate DNSSEC: if you run one yourself on a VPS or a dedicated server (Unbound, BIND…), check that its root trust anchor is up to date, otherwise it will answer SERVFAIL. If in doubt, open a ticket from your client area.

At ServOrbit, a .ma is billed from 118 DH/year, then 118 DH/year on renewal; an incoming transfer costs 118 DH. These amounts are read from the catalog, shown tax exclusive (VAT excluded) and excluding promotions. Second-level extensions (.co.ma, .net.ma, .org.ma…) have their own rates, detailed in the extensions table on our Domain .ma page. From one provider to another, compare the renewal price as closely as the first-year price: it is the one you will then pay every year.

The registrant of a domain name is the person or company declared to the registry, not the provider that registered it. For a .ma registered with us, it is you, or the company you declared: the registrant appears on the domain's page, in your client area. To find out whether a .ma is already registered and which provider manages it, our free .ma WHOIS tool queries ANRT's registry directly; it does not display the registrant's contact details, which are personal data.

As soon as payment is confirmed, we send the request to ANRT's registry, which creates the name in the declared registrant's name; for a bank transfer, the request goes out upon receipt of payment. The domain becomes reachable on the Internet when the registry publishes its zone: a newly created name may have to wait for the next publication, and we do not promise a specific time. A name subject to ANRT's prior review (.ac.ma, .press.ma and .gov.ma extensions, or a reserved term) remains pending until its decision, given within 5 business days at most once the file is complete. The registrant's document, for its part, is uploaded after the order and does not block it.

Not in itself: the transfer changes the provider that manages the name with the registry; it moves neither your website nor your mailboxes. Both keep responding as long as the domain's name servers and DNS zone stay in place. The only real risk comes from a DNS zone hosted by the provider you are leaving: if they delete it, both website and emails stop — recreate it elsewhere before starting the transfer. The request is then subject to the registry's approval, with no timeframe we can guarantee; our team supports you until it is completed.

Not once the request has been filed with the registry: registering a domain name is a service performed immediately, which is not subject to any right of withdrawal (General Terms of Sale, art. 8), and a registered domain is neither taken back nor refunded (General Terms of Sale, art. 7). If your order has not yet been sent to the registry, write to us without delay at [email protected]: we review the request according to the order's status. Full details are in our refund policy.

A new extension is only available at ServOrbit once it is published in our catalog (540 extensions today); the domain search shows what is open and at what price. Brand protection procedures (a period reserved for trademark holders, objections) depend on each registry: we do not trigger them for you. To protect your name, first register the extensions you actually use, such as .ma and .com, then write to [email protected] before targeting a new extension.

No, not for a name directly under .ae. That registration is open to any registrant, individual or company, with no local presence in the Emirates and no supporting documents. A UAE trade licence, or a trademark registered in the UAE, is only required for .co.ae, which ServOrbit does not offer. Names are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The .co.ae is a third-level zone with its own conditions: it requires a UAE trade licence or a trademark registered in the UAE. ServOrbit does not offer it and registers your name directly under .ae, which is open to any registrant with no local presence and no supporting documents. Check that your name is free under .ae before building a brand or a campaign on it.

Yes, with our .ae WHOIS, which queries the UAE registry's public WHOIS, whois.aeda.net.ae. It shows the registrar, status and name servers of the .ae. The registry also publishes the names of the registrant and their contacts: we do not show them. It publishes no registration or expiry date. To find out whether a .ae name is free, the domain search tells you.

The .ae is administered by the .ae Domain Administration (.aeDA), attached to the TDRA, the UAE's telecommunications and digital government regulator. The registry sets the registration rules, not the provider. ServOrbit registers your .ae through a partner registrar, and you then manage the domain from your ServOrbit client area.

Yes. From your ServOrbit client area you manage the DNS zone and the name servers of your .ae. The domain lives in the same client area as your web hosting or your VPS, and they arrive on the same invoice. You can therefore point your .ae to your website or your server without going through a second provider.

.fr is run by AFNIC. Its registrant, individual or company, must have their residence or registered office in the European Union, the EEA or Switzerland. An order from a registrant based outside that area without the trustee service is blocked by our checkout, before it reaches the registry. At ServOrbit, this condition and the trustee option are shown in the search result, before the cart.

Yes, with the trustee service. Whether you are an individual or a company based in Morocco, or anywhere else outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland, this option makes the .fr orderable: the domain is registered with an eligible European address provided by our partner registrar. Without it, the order is blocked by our checkout, before it reaches the registry. The option is paid, per domain and per year.

It is offered directly in the domain search result, before you add the name to the cart, so you know what the registry requires before you order. Once added, your .fr is registered with an eligible European address provided by our partner registrar, instead of your own address outside that area. It is billed per domain and per year. It is ordered when registering a .fr, not when transferring one.

AFNIC publishes an RDAP service, and ServOrbit's .fr WHOIS tool queries it for you. It shows a registered name's dates, status and name servers, but not its registrant's contact details. It helps you check that a name is taken, and since when, before you build a brand or a campaign on it.

Yes. At ServOrbit, your .fr, your web hosting and your VPS live in the same client area and appear on the same invoice. The .fr's DNS zone and name servers are managed from that area. From France, prices show in euros by default, and support answers in French, English and Arabic if you need help with the setup.

No. The .tg is open to individuals and companies, including outside Togo, and the registry requires no local presence. An entrepreneur in Lomé, a foreign company addressing the Togolese market or an individual living abroad can therefore register one the same way, from the ServOrbit client area.

Allow one to two days. Registering a .tg is not instant, unlike some other extensions: if you are preparing a launch, a campaign or a print run on a fixed date, order the name early enough. The registry applies first come, first served, which is one more reason not to wait.

None at registration: the .tg follows no special procedure when you order. The registry may, however, request a supporting document afterwards. So enter accurate registrant details from the start, in the name of the person or company that should hold the domain, so you can answer easily if a request comes.

In our .tg WHOIS, which queries the Togolese registry's public WHOIS, whois.nic.tg. It shows the registrar, the activation and expiry dates, the status and the name servers of the .tg, without any contact details. Yes. Your .tg, web hosting and VPS live in the same ServOrbit client area and arrive on the same invoice. No, the .ci is not offered today, neither for registration nor for transfer. If you already own a .ci, its DNS zone can point to a ServOrbit hosting plan or VPS. At ServOrbit, you can register .com, .net, .africa and several hundred other extensions.

The catalogue includes several hundred extensions, among them .com, .net and .africa. A .com suits you if you also address customers outside the country, a .africa signals a continental reach, and a .net often serves as a second name to protect a brand. The .ci, however, is not offered today.

Yes. Every domain registered with ServOrbit comes with its DNS zone: A, CNAME, MX and TXT records and redirects. You can point it to our web hosting, to a VPS, or to any other hosting provider, in Côte d'Ivoire or elsewhere. The name is not locked to our services.

As soon as the search result appears, before the cart: each extension's availability, actual price and terms are shown there. From Côte d'Ivoire, the price appears in euros by default, or in US dollars; the CFA franc is not offered today. When you pay, the summary restates the sum actually charged and its currency.

Under article 10 of the .sn naming charter, an individual must be an adult with an address in Senegal, and the administrative contact must be established in Senegal. A holder domiciled abroad appoints an agent established in Senegal or, failing that, provides a letter of accreditation to the provider. These are the registry's rules, not ServOrbit's.

No. ServOrbit does not provide an agent in Senegal, because no partner registrar offers one for .sn. The search shows the registry's rule before the name goes into the cart, and the order is not refused. If the registry later asks for the letter of accreditation set out in its charter, the customer writes and provides it.

One case has been observed: a Moroccan company, acting as both holder and administrative contact, registered and then renewed a .sn without an agent. This is not a guarantee, since the charter provides for an agent or a letter of accreditation. For an individual domiciled outside Senegal, no case has been observed either way.

A .sn created today expires on its anniversary date, like most extensions. Only very old names, registered before about 2018, kept a 31 December expiry. Before taking over or renewing an existing name, check its expiry date in ServOrbit's .sn WHOIS, which reads the public record from the registry's RDAP service.

ServOrbit's .sn WHOIS queries the RDAP service published by the registry, rdap.nic.sn. It shows a name's dates, status and name servers, without the holder's contact details. The IANA RDAP directory lists another address for .sn, which does not answer in RDAP: that is why the tool goes straight to the registry.

If your domain is signed, the registry publishes a DS record that points to your zone's key at the old provider. Changing name servers while leaving that DS in place stops DNSSEC-validating resolvers from finding the right key: they answer SERVFAIL and the domain appears down for part of your visitors. Before the switch, have the DS removed and wait for its cache lifetime (TTL) to expire, make the change, then re-enable signing at the new provider and publish the new DS. When a domain expires, it usually stops resolving normally: the website may show a placeholder page or become unreachable, and emails sent to your addresses may be delayed or rejected. After renewing from your client area, a return to normal is not always instant, because DNS caches take time to refresh. Renew before the due date, and see the question on a domain's grace period for the delays specific to each extension.
