License tied to your server's IP address. Monthly billing, cancelable at any time.
Both panels are available. Here's how to tell them apart.
| Criterion | Plesk | cPanel / WHM |
|---|---|---|
| System | Linux & Windows | Linux only |
| Target audience | Developers, agencies, Windows | Hosts, Linux resellers |
| Interface | A unified interface | cPanel (user) + WHM (admin) |
| Pricing | By edition (domains) | By number of accounts |
| Built-in security | Extensions (Imunify, etc.) | Imunify360 / CloudLinux recommended |
| Ecosystem | Rich in extensions | The de facto hosting standard |
cPanel is the most widely used hosting control panel: WHM manages the server (accounts, resources, security) and cPanel gives each user control over their sites, email and databases. The license is tied to your server's IP and billed by number of accounts: Admin (up to 5 accounts), Pro (up to 30) and Premier (100 and above).
CloudLinux is an operating system that isolates each customer in their own environment (LVE technology): a site that consumes too many resources no longer takes the others down. It's the stability foundation of shared hosting servers, compatible with cPanel/WHM and Plesk.
Imunify360 is an all-in-one server security suite: web application firewall (WAF), antivirus, proactive intrusion detection, and automatic patching. It protects hosted sites against malware and attacks with no manual intervention.
JetBackup automates backups and one-click restore for cPanel/WHM, to local or remote storage (S3, FTP, Google Drive…). Your clients restore a file, a database or a whole account themselves from their panel.
Choose cPanel/WHM for large-scale Linux hosting (reselling, multi-account), and Plesk if you need Windows or a unified developer-oriented interface. Both are available here, tied to your server's IP.
