For every .ma domain, the Moroccan registry (ANRT) requires a registrant contact and a copy of their supporting document. Without it, the registry can block and then delete the domain, even if it is active.
Complete the registrant file
Link a registrant
If the page shows “Registrant to complete —”, click “Complete the registrant”, choose the contact, then click “Link this contact”. You can also create one in “My Contacts” with “New contact”.
Identify the required document
The “Registrant identity: supporting document required —” banner appears. The required document depends on the registrant type, and the upload area tells you which one; for a company, answer “Which registration document are you providing?”.
Upload the file
Add a PDF, JPG or PNG. For a national ID card (CIN), attach the front and the back, as two files.
Send
Click “Upload the registrant document”. The banner changes to “Document under review —”: no further action is needed.
The common pitfall
An unreadable or expired document is rejected. If the banner shows a “Reason:”, read it before uploading a new document: it states exactly what is missing.
If it doesn't work
- Our team reviews the document within a few days before sending it to the registry: upload it as soon as possible.
- Deleting a contact detaches the domains that use it: a .ma domain then goes back to registrant to complete.
