Self-service backup and restore
JetBackup schedules incremental backups of the entire server — accounts, sites, databases, emails — and stores them wherever you want. Above all, it integrates into cPanel: each user can restore a file, a database or their entire account on their own, without opening a ticket. This offloads the administrator and reassures clients.
What makes the difference
- Multiple destinations: local disk, FTP/SFTP, S3, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, remote server.
- Incremental backups: fast and light on space.
- Granular restore: a single file, a database, a mailbox or a complete account.
- Configurable retention (daily/weekly/monthly) per destination.
- cPanel/WHM integration: self-service on the client side, supervision on the admin side.
Why not just rely on snapshots?
A hypervisor snapshot saves the whole machine at a point in time, but does not allow you to restore a single file from a single client, nor to store off-site easily. JetBackup works at the account level: it is complementary to VPS snapshots, not redundant. Good practice combines the two.
Always store at least one copy off the server (the 3-2-1 rule). With JetBackup, configure a remote destination (S3 or Backblaze) in addition to the local disk: if the server goes down, your backups survive.
