Secure access and connect teams.
Private VPN server on your infrastructure — secure remote access, zero third-party logs.
OpenVPN Server turns your VPS into a private VPN server — no subscription, no logs on third-party servers, no bandwidth restrictions. All your team's remote access flows through your own infrastructure: you control who connects, when and to what.
It's the ideal solution for companies that want to secure access to their internal resources (servers, databases, administration applications) from public networks. The template configures OpenVPN with a full PKI (public key infrastructure) to manage client certificates.
Let your team access databases and administration services from anywhere, without exposing them on the internet.
Protect your remote employees' connections on public networks (hotels, cafés, airports).
Centralize and control network access to meet security and audit requirements.
Guide optimized for ServOrbit Cloud VPS.
VPS with at least 1 GB RAM, Ubuntu 22.04. A dedicated IPv4 is included — it's the address of your VPN server.
Use OpenVPN's road warrior script: curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/angristan/openvpn-install/master/openvpn-install.sh && bash openvpn-install.sh. It configures everything automatically.
Run the script again to create one .ovpn profile per user. Distribute these files securely.
Your users import the .ovpn file into their OpenVPN client (the official app is available on all platforms).
