Create the VPS

VPS with 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended), Ubuntu 22.04. Select the "ERPNext" template: the Frappe, MariaDB and Redis stack is installed and the site created automatically.

First access

Once your domain points to the VPS and is attached to the app, ERPNext answers on https://your-domain, with no port number. Without a domain no public access is opened: start an SSH tunnel with ssh -L 8080:127.0.0.1:8080 root@your-vps-ip, then go to http://localhost:8080 (8080 is the catalogue port; use the one shown on your app's page in the client area). Log in with the Administrator user and the initial password provided by the deployment wizard.

Setup wizard

Enter your company, your currency, your fiscal year and your time zone. ERPNext pre-configures the chart of accounts suited to your country.

Enable the modules

From the workspace, enable the useful domains (Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, CRM, HR…) and hide the rest to simplify the interface.

Create the users

Add your team members and assign roles (accountant, warehouse clerk, sales, HR) for fine-grained access control.
