Nextcloud is the leading open-source private cloud platform: file storage and sharing, calendars, contacts, online document editing and video conferencing, all self-hosted. It is the sovereign alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 — your files never leave your server, and there is no per-user billing.

Deployed on your own VPS, Nextcloud gives your team a complete workspace accessible from the web, desktop and mobile. The stack (PHP, MariaDB, Redis) runs in Docker containers and installs in a single step. File synchronization, link shares with password protection, shared calendars and additional apps (Talk, Office, Deck) make it a complete collaboration foundation under your control.

Key features

Multi-device file synchronization (web, desktop, mobile)
Link shares with password, expiry date and permissions
Shared calendars and contacts (CalDAV / CardDAV)
Online document editing (Collabora / OnlyOffice) and video calls (Talk)
Server-side encryption and detailed activity log
Ecosystem of additional apps (Deck, Notes, Forms…)
