Planka is a fast, open-source Kanban board built with React and Node.js. Inspired by Trello and Jira, it gives teams a visual way to manage projects, tasks and workflows — all running on your own VPS with no per-seat pricing.

Create the VPS
Choose a plan with at least 1 GB RAM and 10 GB SSD. The Planka template deploys the app and its PostgreSQL database in Docker — no domain required.
Retrieve your admin credentials
Once the VPS is active, open your client area and copy the generated admin password. The login email is [email protected].
Log in to Planka
Navigate to your VPS IP address in a browser. Enter [email protected] and the generated password. Change your email and password from the profile settings.
Create your first board
Click the + button on the dashboard to create a project and add a board. Name your lists (Backlog, In Progress, Done), add cards and start managing your work visually.
