Can SQLite be used with this template?

Yes. SQLite works perfectly for small projects. PostgreSQL is available for more demanding applications.

The Nuxt Stack template configures your VPS to host a Nuxt 3 application in SSR (Server-Side Rendering) mode in production: Node.js LTS, PM2 for process management, Nginx as a reverse proxy, and PostgreSQL if your application uses a database. Create the VPS

Select the "Nuxt Stack" template. Minimum 2 GB RAM for Nuxt SSR in production.

Deploy your app

Clone your repository. Run npm ci, then npm run build. The .output folder contains the compiled application.

Start with PM2

Launch with pm2 start .output/server/index.mjs --name "nuxt-app". Save with pm2 save && pm2 startup.

Configure the domain

Adjust the Nginx virtualhost with your domain (port 3000 by default for Nuxt). SSL with Certbot.

Frequently asked questions

Vercel is simpler to set up but bills per request and imposes limits. A VPS offers a fixed cost, no request limits and the freedom to run any auxiliary process.

Pull, rebuild, restart PM2: git pull && npm ci && npm run build && pm2 restart nuxt-app. This can be automated with a GitHub webhook or a CI/CD pipeline.
