FileBrowser

Browse and share your VPS files from any browser — no SSH or command line needed.

50 MB minimum RAM 1 vCPU Available

FileBrowser is a lightweight, self-hosted file management web interface for your server. Once installed, you access all the files on your VPS from any browser: create folders, upload and download files, rename or delete items, and share them via public or time-limited links — all without a command line or an FTP client. Configured through environment variables, it stores its settings in a single SQLite database, starts in a few seconds and idles below 50 MB of RAM. It comes with built-in multi-user support: each account gets its own home directory and storage quota. It integrates naturally with ServOrbit VPS by running inside a single Docker container, with no external database required.

When to use this solution?

1

Manage your VPS files without SSH

Upload configuration files, scripts or media assets directly from your browser — no terminal, no SFTP client, no SCP command to remember.

2

Share files with clients or your team

Create a public link to a folder to deliver project assets, reports or media without relying on a third-party cloud service. Links can be time-limited or permanent.

3

Host a lightweight file space for your organisation

Create one account per user, define their accessible directory and storage quota — everything self-hosted on your VPS, with full control over who accesses what.
