The real blocker is not a technical one
Technically, nothing prevents you from installing cPanel/WHM on a VPS from Casablanca or Rabat: the installer asks for neither a country nor a language. The blocker shows up at the payment step. Buying direct from the vendor is settled with an international bank card, in a foreign currency, and produces an invoice issued outside Morocco — with no Moroccan VAT, and no IF, ICE or RC. The license works perfectly; it is the accounting document that differs.
Going through an official cPanel partner shifts those three points, and nothing else: the license issued is the same one, from the same vendor, tied to the same IP address.

What you pay for, and on what basis
A cPanel/WHM license is priced by the number of cPanel accounts the server will host, not by its power: Admin up to 5 accounts, Pro up to 30, Premier from 100 upwards. A server carrying a single site therefore does not need the same tier as a reseller hosting thirty.
Billing is monthly, cancellable at any time: you are not committing a year ahead on a machine you may well resize in three months. Amounts are shown tax exclusive (VAT excluded) and the VAT applied is 20%. The current price of each tier is on the Server licenses page — it has no place in an article, which would age faster than the price list.
What can be ordered in the same place
- cPanel/WHM — WHM administers the server (accounts, resources, security); cPanel gives each user control over their sites, e-mails and databases.
- CloudLinux OS — isolates each customer in their own environment (LVE technology): a site consuming too many resources no longer takes the others down.
- Imunify360 — web application firewall (WAF), antivirus, proactive intrusion detection and automatic patching.
- JetBackup — automatic backups and one-click restore for cPanel/WHM, to local or remote storage (S3, FTP, Google Drive, and so on).
- Each license is a separate line, tied to the IP of one server — VPS or dedicated; JetBackup is added to a machine that already runs cPanel/WHM.
The license follows the IP address, not the machine
This is the point that surprises people most: a cPanel/WHM license is issued for one specific public IP address, that of the server where it will be installed. At checkout you therefore designate a server — either one of your ServOrbit.com VPS, whose address is picked up automatically, or a public IP (IPv4 or IPv6) that you type in, for a machine hosted elsewhere.
The direct consequence: the day that address changes — a migration, a rebuild, a new machine — the license does not follow on its own. It stays attached to the old IP and has to be re-attached to the new one. So the right reflex is to give notice before the migration, not after, by writing to [email protected].
And if you do not have a server yet, doing it the other way round removes the typing altogether: the page offers to order a VPS with the license in the same order — it is then tied to that VPS's IP and installed on delivery.
Prerequisites: the distribution family, and its version
cPanel/WHM only runs on Linux, and not on just any Linux. Two families are supported: the RHEL family — AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CloudLinux — and Ubuntu, but only in 24.04 LTS: cPanel supports one Ubuntu LTS at a time. Debian is not on the vendor's official list.
The other brands have their own limits: CloudLinux OS only exists on the RHEL family — it is a distribution derived from RHEL, not a package to drop onto Ubuntu; Imunify360 covers RHEL, Ubuntu and Debian; JetBackup is added to a server already running cPanel/WHM.
The prerequisite is shown on each license card, family and version included. And if you arrive from one of your VPS, the licenses its distribution cannot carry are shown greyed out, with the reason — rather than hidden, which would look like a broken catalogue.
Ordering a cPanel license from Morocco
Pick the tier
Count the number of cPanel accounts the server will host — not the number of sites, nor the RAM. Admin, Pro or Premier; the OS prerequisite is shown under each license.
Designate the server
Select one of your ServOrbit.com VPS — the IP address is picked up automatically — or type in the public IP (IPv4 or IPv6) of the machine, wherever it is hosted.
Pay in dirhams
Accepted methods: Bank card — CMI, PayPal and Bank transfer. Amounts are shown tax exclusive (VAT excluded), and the 20% VAT appears on the invoice.
Receive the invoice, then the license
The invoice is issued by MEGALOGI with its legal identifiers (IF, ICE, RC). The license is then billed every month, for as long as you keep it.
Two checks that save a round trip
Before confirming, two things take thirty seconds to verify: the number of cPanel accounts the server will really carry, since that is what determines the tier — and the exact distribution of the machine, version included. For cPanel/WHM, a server on Ubuntu 22.04 is not a server on Ubuntu 24.04.
